2On February 9, 2016, IRID held a small workshop with the Tsubouchi laboratory, the University of Tsukuba (led by Professor Takashi Tsubouchi, Dean of the College of Engineering Systems).
On the day of the workshop, about 20 people, including IRID members and students of the University of Tsukuba, participated.

In the workshop, Mr. Hirohisa Kuwabara, General Manager of IRID R&D Strategy Planning Department, shared the current status and issues of R&D for the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi. Professor Takashi Tsubouchi introduced technology owned by the intelligent robot laboratory led by him at the University of Tsukuba. Thus, participants exchanged information on R&D implemented by each other.
This workshop provided precious opportunities for IRID to strengthen cooperation with the university involved in an IRID R&D project and promote communications with young researchers.
IRID will continue to actively promote cooperation with universities etc.

Time and Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2016 13:25-17:30
Place: Room 210, Building B, Area 3, the University of Tsukuba (Tsukuba-City, Ibaraki Prefecture)
