The Conference of Materials and Environments 2021: A lecture by Mr. Kenro Takamori, General Manager, R&D Strategy Planning Department (May 19, 2021)
The Conference of Materials and Environments 2021, organized by the Japan Society of Corrosion Engineering, was held online from May 19, 2021, to May 21, 2021.
The session held on May 19 focused on “A decade after the accident of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (NPS), and then moving on the next 10 years: Achievements for the last 10 years.” Mr. Kenro Takamori, General Manager of the R&D Strategy Planning Department, the International Research Institute for Nuclear Decommissioning (IRID), and Mr. Norihiko Tanaka, Expert at Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation jointly delivered a lecture on “Research and Development (R&D) for Corrosion Assessment and Countermeasures under the IRID projects.”
IRID continues to provide opportunities for people to introduce the R&D status of decommissioning for the Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
