Lecture by Naoaki Okuzumi, Senior Manager of Planning and Administration Department at the 42nd Annual Conference of the RSJ(September 3, 2024)
The Robotics Society of Japan (RSJ) organized the 42nd Annual Conference of the RSJ which was held at Umeda Campus, Osaka Institute of Technology on September 3, 2024. As part of the open forum, Naoaki Okuzumi, Senior Manager of the Planning and Administration, the International Research Institute for Nuclear Decommissioning (IRID), delivered a lecture titled “IRID’s Robots development for 1F Decommissioning”.
At the lecture, he introduced robots for investigation inside the primary containment vessel conducted by IRID until now and status of robots development for fuel debris retrieval. The open forum was attended by a wide variety of people from universities and companies.
IRID will promote providing information on results of technological development for the decommissioning through these lectures.
