On Oct.29, 2014, IRID Director Kiyoshi Oikawa attended the ‘NEXT30 Study Group’ research seminar hosted by New Media, Inc. and gave a lecture entitled “The Path to the Decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and the Latest Information on Robotics and ICT.”

NEXT30 Study Group:
Founded in July 2014 and hosted by New Media, Inc., publisher of monthly magazine ‘New Media’ (first published in 1983), ‘Next30′ is a private research group dedicated to finding ways, such as through growth strategies, to resolve crucial issues facing Japan (including the declining birth rate and aging population, natural disasters, and issues concerning the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station). The former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, Mr. Hiroya Masuda, serves as an advisor to this group.
